The Regional Center for Women in the Arts
is a 501 (c) (3) non profit corporation formed in 2000.
Our Story extends beyond the borders of Delaware and Chester Counties in Pennsylvania, our center of operations. It began in 1998 when artist Valetta purchased a house with the dream of converting it into a special kind of art center. Out of this dream rose the R.C.W.A.
Our Mission and Goals are to serve and enrich the community by raising money for charities that benefit women in need, highlighting the work of the best regional women artists, providing a library for the study of women in the arts, presenting lectures and panel discussions about women's arts issues, and providing a space for visiting artists and lecturers.
